Celebrating the art of film
in the home of the Harlem Renaissance, the Harlem International Film
Festival (HIFF) aims to give tribute, inspire, educate and entertain
by bringing the world to Harlem and Harlem to the world. Befitting the legacy of this internationally renowned neighborhood, HIFF integrates the best that Harlem has to offer – great restaurants, unique boutiques, world-class music venues and a long history of excellence in the Arts. Committed to exhibiting and encouraging the production of thought-provoking, entertaining films, the Festival offers features, documentaries, shorts, student films, animated works, panel discussions and the 48-hour Uptown Filmmaking Challenge. As well as showcasing some of the best films from around the world, the Festival also features the Harlem Spotlight, which highlights films produced or directed by Harlem residents, films shot in Harlem, or films about Harlem and its history. |
